Nico Hulkenberg uit uitslag geschrapt

Nico Hulkenberg is door de stewards in Zandvoort uit de uitslag van de eerste race geschrapt. Na de technische controle bleek de ART drie kilo te licht. De auto bracht 537 kilo op de weegschaal, waar 540 kilo het minimumgewicht is.

De straf is een gelukje voor Eduardo Mortara, die de finish niet haalde vandaag. De nieuwe winnaar is Mika Maki en daardoor heeft de Volkswagen-coureur nu een voorsprong van elf punten op de Fin. Niall Breen is de nieuwe polesitter met Robert Wickens naast hem. Renger van der Zande zal de tweede race starten als derde.
