Mailleux wint tweede race, Van der Zande pakt podium

Franck Mailleux heeft vanmiddag de tweede race van de Formule 3 Euroserie in Brands Hatch op zijn naam geschreven. Hij pakte het voordeel bij de start, waar teamgenoot Jean-Karl Vernay slecht wegkomt. Renger van der Zande behoudt zijn positie bij de start en pakt vlak achter Vernay de laatste podiumplek.

Christian Vietoris, startend naast Van der Zande op de tweede rij, komy niet weg en wordt later uit de race gehaald omdat marshalls hen hebben geholpen om weg te komen. Dit maakt de weg vrij voor Eduardo Mortara die zijn vierde plek van gisteren kan herhalen. Vanaf de achtste plek wordt Hulkenberg vijfde, zodat Mortara slechts een puntje goedmaakt. Hulkenbergs teamgenoot Jules Bianchi komt helemaal niet in het stuk voor. De jonge Fransoos eindigt als achttiende.
