Van der Zande verheugt zich op races in Barcelona

Renger van der Zande keert komend weekend terug op de plaats waar hij een jaar geleden zijn eerste zege boekte in de Formule 3 Euroseries. Het Circuit de Catalunya nabij Barcelona is het toneel van het achtste raceweekend van het jaar. Van der Zande verheugt zich op de races en hoopt zijn zege van vorig seizoen te kunnen herhalen.

Het is leuk om weer in Barcelona te zijn, begint Van der Zande. Natuurlijk heb ik mooie herinneringen aan dit circuit en de baan ligt me wel. Het is een vrij technische baan, waar ik graag op rij. We hebben van vorig jaar nog flink wat data die erg van pas gaat komen, dus ik heb er wel vertrouwen in dat we weer een goed resultaat kunnen neerzetten. De stemming in het team is opperbest en je merkt echt dat we zeer goed op elkaar ingespeeld zijn. Ik kan niet wachten om de baan weer op te draaien.

Hopelijk zitten we er gelijk vanaf het begin goed bij en kunnen we op zaterdag al gelijk flink scoren. Dan worden de meeste punten uitgedeeld, dus gaan we voor die eerste race. Ik denk zeker dat we een prima weekend tegemoet kunnen zien.
