Hülkenberg verovert pole position, Van der Zande vierde

Nico Hülkenberg heeft de eerste startpositie voor de eerste race van het laatste Formule 3 Euroseries-weekend van het seizoen voor zich opgeëist. De Duitser is al kampioen en wil op de Hockenheimring zijn succesvolle campagne passend afsluiten.

Achter hem starten Christian Vietoris en Edoardo Mortara de eerste race als tweede en derde. Net buiten de top drie viel Renger van der Zande. De Nederlander klokte met 1:33.450 de vierde tijd, ruim twee tienden langzamer dan de beste tijd van Hülkenberg. Henkie Waldschmidt kwalificeerde zich als eenentwintigste voor race 1 op de Hockenheimring.
