Brendon Hartley stapt over naar Euroseries

Brendon Hartley, racewinnaar in het Britse Formule 3-kampioenschap afgelopen seizoen, blijft bij Carlin Motorsport maar maakt de overstap naar de Euroserie. Hartley boekte afgelopen seizoen diverse overwinningen met Carlin, maar verloor uiteindelijk terrein in het kampioenschap op zijn teamgenoten Jaime Alguersuari en Oliver Turvey.

Teambaas Trevor Carlin: "We zijn erg blij dat Brendon voor ons blijft rijden. Hij heeft het hele jaar zijn geweldige snelheid laten zien en toonde in de slotfase ook nog eens zijn volwassenheid in het racen. Hij is een graag gezien persoon binnen ons team en we verwachten veel van hem in 2009."

Carlin Motorsport maakte tevens bekend dat het Daniel Ricciardo heeft aangetrokken als opvolger van Hartley voor het Britse kampioenschap. Ricciardo was afgelopen seizoen succesvol in de Formule Renault Eurocup, maar verloor de titel uiteindelijk op vier punten.
