Van der Zande twee keer tweede op de Hockenheimring

Renger van der Zande heeft goed gebruik gemaakt van zijn ervaring op de Hockenheimring voor het Brits Formule 3-evenement van afgelopen weekend. De Nederlander werd twee keer tweede. In race 2 won zijn teamgenoot Walter Grubmuller na afschermend werk van Van der Zande, voor wie het winnen van de Masters van volgende week op Zandvoort het doel is.

Van der Zande: Tja, ik heb gekozen voor een professionele insteek. Daarmee heb ik voor het team goed werk verricht, aangezien mijn uitzicht op het winnen van het kampioenschap beperkt is. Ik ben tenslotte later ingestapt. Nu heeft Walter, mijn teamgenoot, weer ruime kansen. Ikzelf concentreer me op de losstaande evenementen, zoals 'The Masters of Formula 3', volgende week in Zandvoort. Die winnen zou een geweldige toevoeging zijn aan mijn palmares.
