Van der Zande wint race op Snetterton

Renger van der Zande heeft een bijna perfect weekend in het Britse Formule 3-kampioenschap achter de rug. De Nederlander pakte op het circuit van Snetterton pole position voor beide races en won de eerste wedstrijd, maar kwam bij de start van de tweede race slecht weg. Een vierde plaats was daarin het maximaal haalbare.

Van der Zande: De eerste race was een bevestiging van de vorm in de trainingen. Ik had een perfecte start vanaf pole-position en reed moeiteloos naar de overwinning. De auto voelde geweldig aan en ik ging zonder problemen bijna een halve seconde per ronde sneller dan de rest. Op een baantje van iets meer dan een minuut is dat echt gigantisch!

Bij de tweede race kwam ik niet goed weg en aangezien inhalen hier bijna onmogelijk is, moest ik genoegen nemen met de vierde plaats. Ik heb het enorm naar mijn zin op dit moment. Het Hitech-team is een geweldig team om mee samen te werken en ik zit in een fantastische flow. Het lijkt allemaal vanzelf te gaan, zodra we naar buiten rijden zijn we snel. Dit was een absoluut topweekend en ik heb er erg van genoten.
