Renger van der Zande stopt met Brits kampioenschap

Renger van der Zande laat de laatste wedstrijden uit het Brits Formule 3-kampioenschap aan zich voorbij gaan. De Nederlander bezet de tweede plaats in het kampioenschap, maar de titel is al uit het zicht. En dus verkiest Van der Zande het stoeltje bij Motopark Academy in de Formule 3 Euroseries boven het Brits kampioenschap.

Ik heb erg genoten van mijn tijd in de Britse Formule 3. Het was fantastisch om drie zeges en negen podiumplaatsen te kunnen scoren, terwijl ik niet eens een heel seizoen heb gedaan. Ik ben erg tevreden over wat ik in die klasse heb bereikt en wil Hitech enorm bedanken voor de kans die zij mij hebben gegeven.

Ik kijk ernaar uit om nu weer terug te keren naar de Formule 3 Series, wat inmiddels bekend terrein voor mij is. Ik hoop dat ik meteen weer snel kan zijn, al is dat nooit gemakkelijk als je halverwege het seizoen instapt. Het is me eerder dit jaar echter ook al een keer gelukt, dus ik heb goede hoop dat ik in de laatste drie ronden van het F3 Euroseries-seizoen ook erg succesvol kan zijn, aldus Van der Zande.
