Ferrucci verkast van Team Eurointernational naar Fortec

Santino Ferrucci verdedigt in de laatste twee rondes van het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3 de kleuren van Fortec Motorsports. De Amerikaan debuteerde in mei na het bereiken van de minimumleeftijd van 16 jaar namens Team Eurointernational op Spa-Francorchamps. Voor de races op Imola en de Hockenheimring verkaste hij naar Fortec.

Ferrucci: "Eurointernational heeft ongeveer een jaar voor me gezorgd sinds mijn eerste Formule 3-test. Ze hebben me in mijn eerste twaalf maanden van mijn loopbaan in de autosport begeleid en daar ben ik ze dankbaar voor. Maar ik heb nu een punt bereikt dat ik denk dat een andere omgeving me een stap vooruit helpt. Hierdoor kan ik groeien als coureur."

"Ik ontmoette Richard Dutton, teambaas van Fortec Motorsports, vijf jaar geleden voor het eerst. Sindsdien heb ik altijd voor hem willen racen. Fortec heeft een rijke geschiedenis als het gaat om racen in opstapklasses en ik hoop dat ik een succesvol nieuw hoofdstuk voor ze kan schrijven."
