Leclerc leider na slecht weekend Giovinazzi

Charles Leclerc, de rookie van Van Amersfoort Racing, is de nieuwe koploper in de strijd om het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3. De jonge Monegask won dit weekend de eerste race op het circuit van Spa-Francorchamps en zag Antonio Giovinazzi worstelen.

De Italiaan pakte dit weekend in totaal slechts twee puntjes en duikelde van de eerste naar de vierde positie. Felix Rosenqvist ging hem voorbij, maar de grootste sprong maakte Jake Dennis. Mede door twee overwinningen op Spa staat hij nu tweede in de tussenstand.

Alessio Lorandi begint ook wat beter zijn draai te vinden in de Formule 3. De Italiaan finishte in elk van de drie races in België in de punten. De teller van de Van Amersfoort Racing-coureur staat in zijn debuutseizoen nu op 22 punten.
