Kevin Magnussen pakt dominante overwinning, Vanthoor derde

Kevin Magnussen heeft in zijn eerste weekend in de Formule 3 Euroseries meteen een overwinning gescoord. De Deen pakt met maar liefst ruim tien seconden voorsprong op Nicolas Marroc. Laurens Vanthoor eindigde de race op een derde positie.

Marroc mocht dankzij zijn achtste eindpositie van de eerste race vanaf de pole vertrekken in de tweede manche. Al snel werd de Fransman echter al voorbij gereden door Kevin Magnussen, die de race als tweede begon. Daarna kon niemand meer een gevaar vormen voor Magnussen die dominant zijn eerste overwinning pakte. Op de finishlijn had de Deen ruim tien seconden voorsprong op Marroc.

Marroc eindigde de race dus als tweede, maar hield wel een hele rij auto's achter hem op. Laurens Vanthoor was hiervan het eerste 'slachtoffer', want de Belg was, zoals veel andere coureurs, sneller dan Marroc maar kwam er niet voorbij. Desondanks eindigde Vanthoor als derde. Valtteri Bottas eindigde op de vierde plaats, gevolgd door teamgenoot Alexander Sims en Edoardo Mortara op de zesde plaats.
