Edoardo Mortara verslaat Bottas in spannende kwalificatie

Edoardo Mortara heeft vanmiddag de pole position veroverd voor de Euroseries-race op de Norisring. De Italiaan was in een spannende kwalificatie slechts 0.037 seconden sneller dan Valtteri Bottas.

Mortara stond het grootste gedeelte van de kwalificatie aan kop, maar de marge naar de rest van het veld werd steeds kleiner. Valtteri Bottas en Marco Wittmann gingen de Italiaan zelfs nog voorbij, maar uiteindelijk pakte Mortara de pole met een voorsprong van 0.037 seconden op Bottas.

Wittmann werd teruggeduwd naar de derde startplaats, op de voet gevolgd door Alexander Sims. Laurens Vanthoor pakte de vijfde positie, gevolgd door het Mücke-duo Carlos Munoz en Roberto Merhi.
