Laurens Vanthoor begint weekend op Nürburgring als snelste

Laurens Vanthoor is het Euroseries-weekend op de Nürburgring goed begonnen. De Belg reed een 1:23.411 en was daarmee bijna zeven honderdsten sneller dan teamgenoot Edoardo Mortara. Valtteri Bottas kwam tot de derde tijd.

De rondetijden lagen erg dichtbij elkaar tijdens de vrije training. De eerste vier coureurs reden hun beste tijd namelijk binnen twee tienden van elkaar. Naast Vanthoor, Mortara en Bottas eindigde ook Roberto Merhi in de top-vier. Marco Wittmann, de derde Signature-coureur pakte de vijfde tijd.
