Van der Zande wil plezier hervinden in Euroseries

Renger van der Zande heeft een belabberd seizoen in de GP3 achter de rug. De Nederlander werd het hele jaar geteisterd door pech en tegenslag. Om het plezier terug te vinden doet hij komend weekend mee aan de Formule 3 Euroseries, zijn oude klasse, op Oschersleben.

Van der Zande vervangt Mika Maki bij Motopark. Ik moest nog even een zwieper geven aan mijn autosportpret in 2010. Met een uiterst moeizaam seizoen in de nieuwe GP3-klasse was de lol even ver te zoeken. Van de zestien races ging het merendeel verloren aan technische defecten, gebrek aan motorvermogen en crashes met malle tegenstanders. Slechts één keer liep het zoals het moest en toen stond ik ook op het podium. Zo is het leven, maar je moet uitkijken dat je het plezier in het racen niet kwijtraakt. Dus de laatste maanden van dit jaar ga ik voor pure racepret. En daar past een tijdelijke rentree in de Formule 3 perfect in. Het is ook een aanloop naar de Grand Prix van Macau, die ik dit jaar nog weer een keer hoop te rijden, net als de Korean Superprix.
