Team Motopark contracteert Marino Sato

Team Motopark heeft Marino Sato vastgelegd als een van de coureurs voor het Europees Formule 3-kampioenschap in 2017. Sato is een 17-jarige Japanner die de voorbije twee jaar in de Italiaanse Formule 4 actief was. Motopark kondigde eerder Keyvan Andres Soori aan als coureur.

Sato: "De afgelopen twee seizoenen heb ik geracet in het Italiaans Formule 4-kampioenschap. In december heb ik voor diverse Formule 3-teams getest in Portugal en Spanje. Na overleg met mijn management en familie heb ik gekozen om in 2017 voor Team Motopark uit te komen."

"Goede prestaties in het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3 kunnen je zomaar richting de Formule 1 stuwen. Ik ben een rookie en ik weet dat ik het niet makkelijk zal krijgen. In plaats van overhaast op resultaten te jagen wil ik rustig ervaring opdoen en dit een positief jaar voor mijn toekomst maken."
