Norris op pole voor eerste race op Silverstone

Lando Norris heeft zich op Silverstone verzekerd van pole position voor de eerste race van het nieuwe seizoen in het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3. Het grote Britse talent noteerde een 1:50.094 en daarmee was hij een fractie sneller dan landgenoot Callum Ilott.

Het verschil bedroeg slechts zes duizendsten van een seconde. Maximilian Günther completeerde de top drie met een 1:50.179. De beste achttien rijders stonden binnen een seconde van de snelste tijd van Norris. Joey Mawson was op P9 de best geklasseerde Van Amersfoort Racing-coureur. Mick Schumacher eiste de twaalfde plaats voor zich op met een 1:50.668.

De eerste race van het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3 op Silverstone vindt later vandaag plaats.

    Dit kan wel eens het beeld van het hele seizoen worden.

    Norris als supertalent vooraan. Gevolgd door 2 middelmatige rijders bij het oppermachtige Prema. En een middelmatige rookie als Mick Schumacher die nog geen potten kan breken, zelfs niet bij Prema.

    Tot zo ver in ieder geval geen enkele verrassing.
