Callum Illot domineert derde race vanaf pole

Na zeges van debutant Lando Norris en Joel Eriksson mocht Prema-coureur Callum Illot na de derde race de hoogste trede op het podium betreden. Illot startte de race vanaf pole en de zege van de Brit kwam geen moment in gevaar. Joel Eriksson finishte als tweede, Lando Norris presteerde wederom goed en mocht als laatste coureur mee naar het podium.

Illot startte de race vanaf pole, maar moest toezien hoe Joel Eriksson de leiding pakte. In tegenstelling tot de race van gisteren liet Illot Eriksson niet gaan en wist hij de Zweed in ronde vier van de race te verschalken. Ilott kon vervolgens zonder grote problemen naar zijn eerste zege van het seizoen rijden.

Norris, de nummer drie van de race en verrassende winnaar van de eerste race, verloor bij de start een paar plaatsen maar wist zich knap te herstellen. Uiteindelijk finishte het McLaren-talent op slecht een seconde van Eriksson. Maximilian Gunther finishte als vierde, voor Carlin-coureurs Jake Denis en Jehan Daruvala. De top tien werd besloten door Nikita Mazepin, Joey Mawson, Harrison Newey en Ralf Aron.

De volgende Formule 3-races vinden over twee weken plaats op het circuit van Monza.
