Laurens Vanthoor wil in 2011 strijden voor de titel

Laurens Vanthoor wil volgend jaar in zijn tweede seizoen als Formule 3 Euroseries-coureur kunnen strijden om het kampioenschap. De jonge Belg kende een matig seizoen in de Euroseries, waarin hij vier maal het podium mocht bezoeken.

Vanthoor eindigde als zesde in het kampioenschap, terwijl teamgenoot Edoardo Mortara kampioen werd. Volgend jaar wil de 19-jarige Belg in zijn voetsporen treden. "Ik denk dat het niveau van de Formule 3 Euroseries nog altijd erg hoog is ondanks het kleinere startveld. Er rijden hier veel goede coureurs. Je moet constant op de limiet rijden."

"Ik wil nog één jaar in de Euroseries rijden en dan ook meedoen om de ereplaatsen en het kampioenschap", aldus Vanthoor die vorig jaar kampioen werd in de Duitse Formule 3.
