Van Amersfoort Racing reserveert plek voor Defourny

Van Amersfoort Racing brengt komend weekend bij de ronde van het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3 op de Nürburgring weer eens vier auto's aan de start. Harrison Newey, Pedro Piquet en Joey Mawson krijgen in de Duitse Eifel gezelschap van Max Defourny.

Defourny is een 18-jarige Belg en hij staat momenteel vierde in de Formule Renault 2.0 Eurocup. Net als Sacha Fenestraz, de leider in die klasse, maakt hij dit weekend een uitstapje naar de Formule 3, mogelijk met het oog op het nieuwe seizoen.

"Ik ben uiteraard erg blij met deze kans om voor Van Amersfoort Racing in de Formule 3 te racen op de Nürburgring", begint Defourny. "We gaan er vanzelfsprekend alles aan doen om goede resultaten te behalen en wie weet wat dit voor de toekomst tot gevolg heeft."
