Motopark contracteert Fabio Scherer voor 2018

Het seizoen 2017 in het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3 is nog maar net voorbij of de eerste coureur voor de nieuwe jaargang is reeds vastgelegd. Fabio Scherer promoveert bij Team Motopark uit de ADAC Formule 4 naar het Europees Formule 3-kampioenschap.

De 18-jarige Zwitser was een racewinnaar en podiumklant in de Formule 4. Scherer: "Ik voel me absoluut klaar voor de Formule 3 en ik kan niet wachten totdat het seizoen van start gaat. Het is een grote sprong vooruit, bijvoorbeeld op gebied van de coureurs waar ik het tegen op moet nemen."

"Ik moet ook een nieuwe en snellere auto leren kennen, maar daar kijk ik juist naar uit. Dit is een belangrijke stap in mijn carrière. De Formule 3 kan bepalend zijn voor je toekomst in de autosport. Ik moet het volgend jaar laten zien en goede resultaten behalen, maar ik ben klaar voor de uitdaging."

Moet je wel op vier wielen blijven staan. Op de Redbullring heb ik hem op zijn kant zien gaan. Talent volle jongen die nu echt aan de bak moet om zijn kwaliteiten in de formule 3 te laten zien. Ben benieuwd hoever hij het zal schoppen.
