Hitech GP contracteert Brits F3-kampioen Ahmed

Enaam Ahmed komt in 2018 voor Hitech GP uit in het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3. De 17-jarige Brit vestigde dit jaar meerdere records in het Brits Formule 3-kampioenschap. Hij kroonde zich met het hoogste aantal punten (654) en meeste aantal overwinningen (13) tot jongste kampioen ooit.

Komend seizoen maakt hij dus de overstap naar het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3. Ahmed: "Ik ben super opgewonden over mijn debuutseizoen in het Europees Formule 3-kampioenschap bij Hitech GP. Teambaas Oliver Oakes ken ik al sinds mijn tiende uit de karting, dus we hebben al een aardig hechte werkrelatie."

"Ik voel me thuis binnen het team en ik geloof dat we een sterk pakket hebben voor komend seizoen. Ik wil van deze gelegenheid gebruikmaken om mijn sponsors en investeerders te bedanken dat ze dit mogelijk hebben gemaakt. Zonder hun steun zou ik niet kunnen racen. Ze hebben vertrouwen in me en ik ben vastberaden om dat de komende jaren terug te betalen met meer titels."

Nog niet zo bekend bij het grote publiek maar deze jongen is ook al EK en WK karten geweest ff in de gaten houden hoe hij het gaat doen volgend jaar.
