Carlin versterkt zich met Nikita Troitskiy voor 2018

Het team van Carlin heeft Nikita Troitskiy vastgelegd voor het komende seizoen in het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3. Troitskiy is een 18-jarige Rus, afkomstig uit het Euroformula Open waarin hij op een tweede plaats eindigde. Hij voegt zich bij de eerder bevestigde Jehan Deravula, Ferdinand Habsburg, Sacha Fenestraz en Devlin DeFrancesco.

Troitskiy: "Het is geweldig dat ik in 2018 onderdeel uit mag maken van een sterk team als Carlin. Het team werkt heel goed samen en voert hun werk tot in perfectie uit, dus ik verheug me erop om me bij hen aan te sluiten. Ik ga mijn uiterste best doen om dit jaar mooie resultaten te behalen."

Hij eindigde vorig jaar dan wel als runner-up in de Euroformula Open, maar Troitskiy won geen race. Er stond geen maat op kampioen Harrison Scott. De Brit won twaalf van de veertien races waar hij aan deelnam en kon zich zelfs veroorloven om het slotweekend op het Circuit de Catalunya over te slaan. Troitskyi finishte in de laatste race van het seizoen wel als tweede, achter gastrijder Felipe Drugovich.
