Mick Schumacher legt bij test beslag op eerste plek

Mick Schumacher heeft op de slotdag van een test ter voorbereiding op het nieuwe seizoen in het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3 de beste tijd gerealiseerd. De 19-jarige Duitser van Prema Powerteam snelde op de Red Bull Ring naar een 1:22.828 en daar kon niemand aan tippen.

Ferdinand Habsburg was de enige andere coureur die onder de 1:23 dook, de Oostenrijker gaf precies een tiende toe op Schumacher. Rookie Sacha Fenestraz, vorig jaar kampioen in de Formule Renault 2.0 Eurocup, completeerde de top drie met een 1:23.078.

De jonge Fransman uit de opleiding van Renault voerde een kwartet debutanten aan. Sebastian Fernandez (1:23.120), Enaam Ahmed (1:23.130) en Robert Shwartzman (1:23.173) legden namelijk beslag op de posities vier, vijf en zes.

Over twee weken staat de volgende test op het programma, dan op het circuit van Misano.
