Juncadella verlengt contract bij Prema Powerteam in Euroseries

Daniel Juncadella verdedigt ook dit jaar de kleuren van Prema Powerteam in de Formule 3 Euroseries. De 19-jarige Spanjaard kwam in 2010 al uit voor de Italiaanse renstal en won de seizoensfinale op de Hockenheimring. In de stand eindigde hij als achtste.

Juncadella: Ik ben blij om terug te zijn bij Prema Powerteam. Na een leerseizoen is mijn doel voor 2011 om het kampioenschap op mijn naam te schrijven. Daar spelen veel factoren een rol in. Laat ik het zo zeggen dat ik verwacht constant in de kop mee te draaien. Het is belangrijk om te blijven waar ik zat omdat ik me bewust ben van de technische potentie van Prema en menselijk gezien hele goede relaties met teamleden heb opgebouwd.

Prema-baas Angelo Rosin: Het doet me deugd dat Daniel ook de komende jaargang beschikbaar is voor ons. In 2010 kwam hij vanuit de Formule BMW en deed hij het fantastisch. Hij leerde veel en snel en scoorde een prachtige zege in Hockenheim, in zijn debuutseizoen. Ik heb me sterk gemaakt voor het behoud van Daniel voor 2011. Hij heeft alles in zich om zich met de besten te meten en Mercedes weer aan de top te brengen.
