Mick Schumacher op eerste rij voor tweede en derde Formule 3-race op Hockenheim

De titel in het FIA European Formule 3-kampioenschap kan Mick Schumacher bijna niet meer ontgaan. De Duitse Prema coureur wist zich in de tweede kwalificatie sessie voor beide races als tweede te kwalificeren.

Juri Vips zal de tweede omloop op Hockenheim van de eerste startplaats vertrekken. Robert Schwarzman zal de tweede race vanaf de derde startplaats starten. De Rus scoorde wel de pole voor de derde race. Ook Alex Palou en Jehan Daruvala zullen net zoals in de eerste race vanuit de voorhoede van start gaan.

Verrassing van de dag was Julian Hanses die na zijn split met Ma-con eerder in het seizoen vanuit het niets naar de derde rij reed. De top tien voor de eerste race bestaat verder uit Sacha Fenestraz, Ralf Aron, Fabio Scherer en Enaam Ahmed.

Voor de laatste race van het seizoen start Aron als vijfde, Fenestraz als zevende en Ahmed als negende. Snelste man in de eerste kwalificatie Guan Yu Zhou zal de tweede race als twaalfde aanvangen. In race drie zal de Chinese Ferrari junior als achtste van start gaan.

Voor Dan Ticktum is de Formule 3-titel verder dan ooit. De Brit zal tijdens de tweede race als vijftiende van start gaan een plaats achter de nog in theorie kanshebber op de titel, Marcus Armstrong. Voor de laatste race in het kampioenschap zal Ticktum als tiende van start gaan. Alle races van het finale-weekend van het Formule 3 kampioenschap zijn te zien op de YouTube-pagina van de European Formula 3 met Engels commentaar. Liefhebbers van Nederlands commentaar kunnen inschakelen op Ziggo Sport Racing.

  Zo uitzonderlijk is Mick nog niet. Hij heeft een goede auto maar nog geen uitzonderlijke rijderskwaliteiten.

  De 1e race net afgelopen, raar einde,1 ronde te vroeg afgevlagd, maar Schumacher op P12 en Ticktum op P5, loopt 10 punten in.
  De 1e en 2e plaats wederom voor Prema.

  Mick reed anders mooi terug van P20 naar p12. Schade in het begin van de race.

  Volgens mij zit Mick al in de Ferrari club, al rijdt hij voor Prema die met Mercedes motoren rijden, in de 1e helft van dit jaar reed Mick bijna nooit in de top 10, na de zomerstop is hij ineens uit het niets gaan winnen, daardoor zijn er veel die vraagtekens zetten bij de Prema race wagens. Na die zomerstop staan er bijna altijd 2 prema cars in top 3.
