Formule 3-kwalificatie vroegtijdig gestopt na meerdere gevaarlijke situaties

De kwalificatie van de Formule 3 op Monza is zojuist eerder dan gepland gestopt. De wedstrijdleiding wilde voorkomen dat er ongelukken zouden gebeuren, nadat er meerdere gevaarlijke situaties ontstonden gedurende de training.

De Formule 3 rijdt in 2019 met een enorm veld van 30 bolides over de circuits en dat leverde op Monza drie keer achter elkaar zeer gevaarlijke situaties op. Een groot aantal coureurs hield op het rechte stuk voor de Parabolica in, waarbij ze zowel links, rechts als midden op de baan met weinig vaart reden. Coureurs achter hen, die bezig waren met een snelle ronde, moesten daardoor vol in de remmen en ontwijkende acties uitvoeren.

Na de derde keer had de wedstrijdleiding genoeg gezien en werd, met een kleine vier minuten te gaan, de kwalificatie stilgelegd. Niet veel later kwam het bericht dat de sessie hierna niet hervat zou worden. Christian Lundgaard, die zich over de boordradio al zeer kritisch had uitgelaten met over de ontstane situaties, pakte zodoende de pole position.

Verschoor sterk naar achtste positie

De Deen van ART Grand Prix wist op de 'Temple of Speed' zijn tweede pole op rij te pakken door het sterke trio van Prema voor te blijven. Marcus Armstrong reed de tweede tijd tijdens de sessie, terwijl Robert Shwartzman en Jehan Daruvala de tweede startrij voor zich opeisten. Lirim Zendeli verraste met de vijfde tijd, voor Teppei Natori en Max Fewtrell.

De beste Nederlander in de kwalificatie was Richard Verschoor. De coureur van MP Motorsport zal de race op zaterdag vanaf de achtste positie, waarmee hij Niko Kari en Giorgio Carrara voor wist te blijven. Bent Viscaal had het een stuk lastiger, want hij kwam niet verder dan de 21ste tijd op Monza.

Waarom rijden ze dan niet in groepen van 15. Doe je twee sessies met 15 rijders per keer. Opgelost.

Over deze situatie hebben toch een paar F1 coureurs geklaagd en men vond het niet nodig om hie iets mee te doen. Nu laat men dus zien in de F3 waarom er dus wel iets mee gedaan moet worden.

  In- outlap dan dus ook op bv 200% van de snelste tijd zetten, daarmee kun je wel een gat creëeren, maar voorkom je dat “kruipen”. Hop Masi, deze dikke tip mag je zo hebben!

de eerste die vol op zijn gas zou gaan had aan het kortste eind getrokken en geen dlipstream gehad, maar wel slipstream aan degene achter hem.

Hoort bij het spel, maar wat de F&@€#%$£ doe je dan nog op de racelijn????

Dat laatste mag Masi een donderpreek over gaan houden in mijn ogen.
Van het gas af is van de ideale/racelijn af en in je spiegels blijven turen en anders vragen op de boardradio naar wat er achterop komt of ze dat willen checken.

En dan te bedenken dat deze ventjes in theorie nog twee keer overvliegen (2 jaar kan) in de F1 kunnen zitten
