Ook op Formule 3-kalender plekje voor Circuit Zandvoort ingeruimd

In navolging van de Formule 2 heeft de Formule 3 ook haar kalender voor het seizoen 2020 gepresenteerd. Ook deze klasse in het voorportaal van de Formule 1 zal komend jaar een bezoek brengen aan Circuit Zandvoort.

De voorlopige kalender van de Formule 3 zal in 2020 uit negen raceweekenden bestaan. Evenals de Formule 2 keert ook de Formule 3 weer terug op Zandvoort, dat komend jaar na 35 jaar afwezigheid weer op de kalender van de Formule 1 staat. Het weekend in Nederland, dat van 1 tot 3 mei gehouden wordt, is het tweede raceweekend van het seizoen voor de F3-coureurs.

Het seizoen opent in Bahrein en ook daar gaat de Formule 3 voor het eerst naartoe. In vergelijking groeit de kalender met een race, nadat de races in Frankrijk geschrapt zijn voor 2020. Net als in 2019 zal het seizoen afgesloten worden in het Russische Sochi.

"Ik ben blij dat onze kalender voor 2020 negen ronden zal omvatten. Dat is een evenement meer dan dit jaar", vertelt CEO Bruno Michel. "Alle evenementen zullen tijdens Grand Prix-weekends plaatsvinden en er zijn twee nieuwe locaties, waarvan een ver weg is en de andere in Europa. Het wordt interessant om de F3-auto's naast de F2 en F1 te zien racen op Bahrein en Zandvoort."

  @CTRA, dat gaat niet goed komen op Zandvoort, let maar op, ik verwacht dat de Dutch gp niet doorgaat

  IK denk juist het tegenovergestelde, dat de DutchGP wel doorgaat, maar dat er over een jaar of 10 nieuws naar buiten komt wat er allemaal is uitgevoerd en welke regels 'verbogen' werden om de Dutch GP door te laten gaan.
