Carlin voegt Ido Cohen toe aan line-up voor komend seizoen

Het team van Carlin heeft Ido Cohen gecontracteerd voor de Formule 3. De 19-jarige Israëliër vormt in 2021 een teamgenoot van Jonny Edgar. Cohen is afkomstig uit het Euroformula Open-kampioenschap, waarin hij - ook namens Carlin - twee podiumplekken behaalde en als zevende eindigde.

"Ik ben blij om onderdeel uit te blijven maken van de Carlin-familie en de stap richting de Formule 3 te maken", begint Cohen. "Het wordt een uitdaging, maar ik heb de juiste mensen om me heen om komend seizoen hard te pushen. Ik ken een aantal circuits op de kalender al, maar ik verheug me ook op de banen die nieuw zijn voor mij. Ik kan niet wachten om weer in de auto te rijden, de test die ik in de zomer van 2020 voor het team afwerkte voelt alweer als een eeuwigheid geleden."

Teambaas Trevor Carlin: "Het doet me deugd dat Ido voor 2021 bij ons blijft en de sprong naar de ontzettend competitieve Formule 3 waagt. Hij heeft zich vorig jaar van zijn beste kant laten zien, hij werkte hartstikke hard en sleepte mooie resultaten in de Euroformula-auto in de wacht. De Formule 3 is een zwaar kampioenschap, maar ik weet zeker dat als Ido zich op dezelfde manier manifesteert, hij ook komend seizoen goede resultaten zal noteren."
