Charouz Racing contracteert Reshad de Gerus voor 2021

Charouz Racing heeft een eerste naam aan de line-up voor het komende Formule 3-seizoen toegevoegd. De renstal heeft Reshad de Gerus, een 17-jarige Fransman, vastgelegd voor 2021. De Gerus is afkomstig uit de Formule Renault Eurocup, waarin hij vorig jaar drie top tien-noteringen behaalde.

"Ik ben dolgelukkig om bij Charouz Racing aan de slag te gaan in de Formule 3", begint de Franse tiener. "Het is een geweldige kans om een stap hogerop te maken en ik ben Charouz dankbaar voor het vertrouwen. Ik ben vastberaden en verheug me erop om met het team samen te werken. We hebben een mooi seizoen voor de boeg en ik ga mijn best doen om goede resultaten in de wacht te slepen."

Namens het team verkondigde Antonin Charouz: "Het doet me deugd om de eerste van onze drie Formule 3-rijders voor komend seizoen aan te kondigen. We hebben al met Reshad gewerkt tijdens de test in Jerez eind vorig jaar en ondanks zijn jeugdige leeftijd maakte hij een volwassen indruk. Bovendien was hij snel. De wereld is veranderd vorig jaar, we hebben het meest gecompliceerde seizoen ooit achter de rug en we moeten ons aanpassen om het optimale uit de nieuwe situatie te halen. We kunnen niet wachten."
