Carlin voegt Brits Formule 3-kampioen Kaylen Frederick toe aan line-up

Het team van Carlin heeft Kaylen Frederick doorgeschoven naar de line-up voor het internationale Formule 3-kampioenschap. De Britse renstal werkte vorig jaar al samen met de 18-jarige Amerikaan in het Brits Formule 3-kampioenschap en dat leverde toen de titel op. In 2021 rijdt hij samen met Ido Cohen en Jonny Edgar voor Carlin in het voorprogramma van de Formule 1.

Frederick: "Ik heb extreem veel zin in het nieuwe seizoen en kan niet wachten tot ik de baan op mag. Het internationale Formule 3-kampioenschap is een klasse waar alle jonge rijders onderdeel vanuit willen maken. Je weet dat je het tegen de beste jonge rijders die allemaal hopen het tot de Formule 1 te schoppen opneemt. Het wordt een jaar vol uitdagingen, maar ik heb het gevoel dat wij die uitdagingen aankunnen. Ik ben mijn sponsors dankbaar dat ze dit mogelijk hebben gemaakt."

Carlin-teambaas Trevor Carlin vult aan: "We zijn verguld dat Kaylen bij ons blijft voor het komende seizoen. Het is een plezier om hem binnen het team te hebben, zowel op als naast de baan. Het internationale Formule 3-kampioenschap is een van de meest competitieve klasses ter wereld, maar ik weet dat Kaylen met zijn werkethiek alles zal geven om telkens het maximale te halen uit het pakket dat wij hem bieden."
