Hauger wint vanaf pole overtuigend hoofdrace in Zandvoort

Dennis Hauger heeft overtuigd de hoofdrace op Zandvoort gewonnen. De PREMA-coureur leidde de F3-race van kop tot staart.

Clement Novalak eiste voor de tweede keer dit weekend een tweede plaats op. De Fransman profiteerde van een crash tussen Victor Martins - de winnaar van de tweede sprintrace - en David Schumacher. Ook Aleksandr Smolyar kon hierdoor naar het ereschavot en bezette de laatste podiumtree.

Met de zege vergroot Hauger zijn voorsprong in het kampioenschap. De Noor heeft 43 punten voorsprong op de nummer twee Jack Doohan, die vierde werd in de hoofdrace.

De laatste drie races zijn in Rusland op de baan van Sotsji. Het was eerst de bedoeling dat de F3 zou afreizen naar Amerika voor het finaleweekend, maar de organisatie ondervond logistieke problemen en besloot van het vaste plan af te wijken. De races in Rusland zijn 25-26 september.
