Flörsch maakt comeback bij PHM Racing by Charouz

Niet alleen de Formule 1-wereld bereidt zich voor op het aankomende seizoen, ook in de opleidingsklassen wordt er hard gewerkt. Het startveld van de Formule 3 krijgt bijvoorbeeld steeds meer vorm, gisteren werd er een opvallende coureur toegevoegd aan de startlijst in de persoon van Sophia Flörsch.

Flörsch is één van de bekendste vrouwelijke coureurs. De Duitse coureur werd wereldberoemd na een angstaanjagende crash in Macau. Ze herstelde van haar blessure en reed in 2020 in de Formule 3 in het voorprogramma van de Formule 1. Daarna kwam ze ook in actie in de DTM en de 24 uur van Le Mans. Dit jaar keert ze terug in de Formule 3 en gaat ze rijden voor het team van PHM Racing by Charouz.

      Ik denk niet dat je al te veel moet verwachten wanneer je tekend voor Charouz...

      In DTM had ze een paar leuke races en is in mijn ogen ook absoluut niet slecht. Ze heeft ook wel karakter door juist expres "vrouwenklasses" te vermijden en telkens te zoeken naar de sterkst mogelijke klasse.

      In DTM/WEC zit ze beter op haar plek maar als je de kans krijgt om nog een jaar F3 mee te pakken, dan moet je dat altijd doen natuurlijk.

    Als je 22 bent en je gaat wederom een seizoen Formule 3 rijden, moet je jezelf echt afvragen of je geen betere opties hebt. Een vol seizoen WEC of zou haar ook niet misstaan namelijk.

      Dat kan altijd nog @Beri, kan me voorstellen dat Sophia 9voor haar zelf) nu eerst nog haar mogelijkheden in de F3 (etc.) wil bekijken.
      En met 22 jaar is ze nog niet te oud...

    Flörsch doet het tenminste goed en rijd gewoon tegen mannen in plaats van de W series

    als een vrouwelijke coureur ooit wil bewijzen de F1 aan te kunnen zullen ze het toch via de normale kampioenschappen moeten bewijzen, tegen mannen dus
