Zuid-Koreaanse coureur maakt debuut in Hongarije

Woohyun Shin zal de rest van het FIA Formule 3-seizoen 2023 racen met PHM Racing by Charouz, zo heeft het team bevestigd. De Zuid-Koreaanse coureur voegt zich bij het Duitse team ter vervanging van McKenzy Cresswell, die in Spielberg en Silverstone had gereden.

Voorafgaand aan zijn overstap naar PHM deed Shin mee aan GB3, waar zijn beste finish van het seizoen P4 is. Hij reed eerder dit jaar ook in het Formula Regional Middle Eastern Championship.

''Ik ben opgewonden om met PHM Racing te racen voor de laatste drie ronden van FIA Formule 3. Het zal een waardevolle ervaring voor mij zijn om de Europese circuits te leren kennen en kilometers te maken in deze auto. Ik wil Roland en het team bedanken voor deze kans en ik zal mijn best doen om het meeste uit de weekenden te halen.''
