Verschoor gaat jagen op nieuwe zege in straten Macau

Volgende maand staat de iconische Formule 3-race op het uitdagende stratencircuit van Macau weer op het programma. Het belooft een groot spektakel te worden, want de FIA heeft het evenement omgedoopt tot de 'Formula 3 World Cup'. De startlijst is in ieder geval zeer sterk, ook Nederlander Richard Verschoor doet weer mee.

Verschoor won de race in 2019 en dit jaar zal hij in dienst van Trident weer gaan jagen op de zege. Hij zal de zege zeker niet cadeau gaan krijgen, want de FIA heeft een zeer sterke deelnemerslijst gepresenteerd met veel bekende namen. Veel coureurs uit de Formule 2 en de Formule 3 gaan deelnemen aan de race van Macau en dat zorgt voor een opvallende deelnemerslijst. Naast Verschoor staat er met Dan Ticktum nog een oud-winnaar op de grid.

In totaal gaan er 29 coureurs deelnemen aan de race, er zijn nog drie zitjes beschikbaar. Wie een blikt op de deelnemerslijst werpt, ziet veel bekende namen. Onder meer Red Bull Junior-coureurs Isack Hadjar en Zane Maloney, Sophia Flörsch, McLaren-wonderkind Ugo Ugochukwu, Gabriele Mini, Franco Colapinto en Nikola Tsolov doen mee. De Nederlandse teams MP Motorsport en Van Amersfoort Racing verschijnen ook aan de start. Alle teams rijden met drie coureurs en één van de zitjes van MP is nog vrij.

Hoop dat ie 'm pakt weer, zal goed staan op zijn CV.

Ben alleen bang dat het een "Frijns" verhaal wordt: veel talent, maar geen/niet genoeg financiële backing.
Bij Frijns zag je dat ook al heb je een geweldig CV, zelfs buitengewoon... het verzekerd je niets.
Hopelijk krijgt Verschoor dat kansje met een test bij Haas F1 en kan hij daar verbazen...
