Euroseries en bandenleverancier Kumho na dit jaar uit elkaar

Kumho beëindigt na dit jaar de samenwerking met de Formule 3 Euroseries. De Koreaanse bandenfabrikant was sinds 2003 als bandenleverancier betrokken bij de serie. Euroseries-directeur Walter Mertes spreekt van een vriendschappelijk afscheid. Een nieuwe bandenleverancier voor 2012 wordt op een ander moment gepresenteerd.

Mertes: Met het verlies van Kumho raakt de Euroseries een loyale partner kwijt. Aan de andere kant zet het ook de deur open om een veelbelovende globale speler in de bandenindustrie als nieuwe partner te verwelkomen. Het is veelzeggend voor onze relatie dat Kumho en wij op een vriendschappelijke manier uit elkaar gaan. Ik wil iedereen bij Kumho bedanken voor hun immer voorbeeldige en coöperatieve aanpak.
