Macau-winnaar Juncadella kijkt voor 2012 naar GP2 en DTM

Daniel Juncadella boekte gisteren zijn grootste succes in zijn nog prille loopbaan. De 20-jarige Spanjaard won de prestigieuze Macau Grand Prix. Dat opent deuren voor 2012 en de voorkeur van Juncadella lijkt bij de GP2 te liggen. Maar ook DTM behoort tot de opties.

Juncadella: Ik dacht al aan de GP2 omdat ik een grote sponsor achter me heb die het benodigde geld heeft. Nu is het de vraag of ze er ook voor willen betalen. En aangezien Mercedes me steunt is de DTM ook een mogelijkheid, al hangt dat af van wat zij willen. We zullen zien.

Misschien spendeer ik nog een jaar in de Euroseries, om de titel te pakken. Het kampioenschap winnen zou zeker helpen voor de toekomst. Ik ben een paar keer als tweede geëindigd en de zege in Macau voelt als een mini-kampioenschap. Dus het zal me zeker helpen.
