Euroseries verzekerd van veld met minstens vijftien auto's in 2012

De Formule 3 Euroseries-organisatie heeft bekend gemaakt dat volgend jaar ten minste vijftien wagens op de grid staan. Prema Powerteam en Mucke Motorsport hebben vier auto's ingeschreven. Signature, Jo Zeller Racing, URD Rennsport en GU Racing krikken het aantal deelnemers op naar vijftien. De verwachting is dat voor de Kerst nog een team zich aanmeldt met twee wagens.

Euroseries-directeur Walter Mertes: Het doet ons deugd dat meerdere potentiële nieuwe teams hun blik op onze klasse hebben gericht en dat sommigen zich bij ons voegen. Met de rentree van BMW in de DTM waait er ook een nieuwe wind door de Euroseries. Het platform DTM en het aanbod aan mogelijkheden vertegenwoordigen een sleutelrol om voor de Formule 3 Euroseries te kiezen.
