Zoon van Damon Hill treedt toe tot Europees kampioenschap

Josh Hill, de zoon van eenmalig wereldkampioen Formule 1 Damon Hill, is komend seizoen actief in het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3. De 22-jarige Hill reed vorig jaar in de Formule Renault NEC namens Fortec. Voor hetzelfde team treedt de Brit toe tot de Formule 3.

Zijn teamgenoten luisteren dit jaar naar de namen Dmitry Suranovich, Pipo Derani en Felix Serralles. Josh Hill verklaarde aan Autosport: "Het is een hele opluchting dat mijn plannen voor dit jaar rond zijn. Het is opwindend om in het Europees kampioenschap Formule 3 te racen voor Fortec. Oorspronkelijk mikte ik op de Britse Formule 3 en de titel, omdat die serie verzwakt door het Europees kampioenschap. Nu ga ik gewoon mijn best doen en pushen, maar ik mag niet vergeten dat ik het opneem tegen sommige tweede- en derdejaars."
