Carlo van Dam tekent bij Van Amersfoort Racing

Carlo van Dam zal dit jaar voor het team van Frits van Amersfoort in de ATS Formule 3 Cup aan de start verschijnen. De coureur van S-T-A-R-T maakt hernieuwd kennis met het Nederlandse raceteam uit Huizen en wil komend seizoen voor de titel meedoen. De Nederlander wordt teamgenoot van zijn landgenoot Récardo Bruins, die vorig jaar al voor Van Amersfoort Racing reed in de ATS Formule 3 Cup. Met deze twee coureurs gaat het team dit jaar voor het kampioenschap.

Carlo van Dam: Ik ben blij dat ik weer de kleuren van Van Amersfoort Racing mag verdedigen. De keuze om de overstap te maken van de Formule Renault 2.0 naar de ATS Formule 3 Cup was voor mij een logische. Na twee goede seizoenen in de Eurocup Formule Renault 2.0 wil ik hogerop en daar is de Formule 3 de beste klasse voor. Met de juiste inzet en toewijding weet ik zeker dat ik samen met het team mee ga doen om de hoofdprijzen.

Dankzij de steun van Stichting S-T-A-R-T en mijn sponsoren Legamaster, Dealmakers, FlexWorx!, Impress, Dorzo Vlaardingen, Texim-Europe en Powerball Europe krijg ik de kans om mij te bewijzen en zal deze met beide handen aanpakken. Tenslotte zal ik binnenkort nog meer nieuws onthullen over mijn autosportambities. Het nieuwe seizoen beloofd in ieder geval bijzonder interessant te gaan worden!

Teambaas Frits van Amersfoort: Ik ben erg blij dat Carlo opnieuw wordt herenigd met ons team. In de afgelopen jaren heb ik Carlo nadrukkelijk gevolgd en liet hij in de wintertest met de Formule 3 wagen een bijzonder goede indruk achter. Ik ben erg verheugd dat we samen verder kunnen bouwen aan een succesvolle samenwerking. Met zijn enorme ervaring is Carlo een absolute titelkandidaat voor de ATS Formule 3 Cup!

De ATS Formule 3 Cup bestaat uit negen raceweekenden, veelal verreden op de bekende Duitse circuits. Het kampioenschap zal ook tweemaal een bezoek brengen aan het circuit in Assen. Met het Amerikaanse Champ Car-evenement en de Rizla Racing Days zullen dit jaar ook direct de hoogtepunten van het seizoen zijn.
