Carlo van Dam zal ook dit jaar zijn kunsten vertonen in de straten van Rotterdam. De coureur die op dit moment uitkomt in de Duitse Formule 3 en daarin het kampioenschap leidt zal acte de présence geven op Bavaria City Racing dat op 19 augustus gehouden wordt. De 21-jarige Nederlander reed vorig jaar ook al door de havenstad in een Formule Renault.

Van Dam: Waanzinnig om aan dit evenement deel te nemen. Ik kom zelf uit de regio en voel me een halve Rotterdammer. Het is het enige evenement in Nederland waar de fans zo dicht bij de coureurs kunnen komen. Ik ga er vooral van genieten om voor het publiek een aantal spectaculaire demos te geven!

Van Dam rijdt samen met Recardo Bruins voor Van Amersfoort Racing in de Duitse Formule 3. In 1993 werd Jos Verstappen kampioen voor dat team in die klasse. Andere Nederlandse kampioenen zijn Christijan Albers en Ho-Pin Tung.
