Carlo van Dam vergroot voorsprong

Carlo van Dam heeft zijn leidende positie in het Duitse Formule 3-kampioenschap verstevigd. Op de Lausitzring werd de Nederlander eerst vierde en hij won de tweede race vanaf pole position. Daardoor scoorde Van Dam afgelopen weekend zestien punten. Zijn grootste concurrent Frederic Vervisch won race 1, maar scoorde in de tweede race niet. Het verschil tussen de twee groeide van negen naar dertien punten.

Recardo Bruins was wederom goed in de subtop. De teamgenoot van Van Dam bij Van Amersfoort Racing werd twee keer vijfde. Ook Dominick Muermans reed in de punten op de Lausitzring. Hij werd achtste in race 1 en zesde in race 2.
