Kampioen Van Dam sluit seizoen af met zege

Carlo van Dam was al kampioen in het Duitse Formule 3-kampioenschap, maar dat zorgde er niet voor dat hij de concurrentie eens de kans gaf om te winnen. De Nederlander won race 2 op het circuit van Oschersleben en sloot zodoende een succesvol seizoen in stijl af. In race 1 was de coureur van Van Amersfoort Racing derde geworden.

Van Dam: Alle ogen waren bij de start op mij en Frederic Vervisch gericht. Maar ik heb al eerder laten zien dat ik een goede starter ben en ook nu kon ik voor de eerste bocht de leiding overnemen. Daarna kon ik aan kop weg rijden van de rest. Simpel was het echter niet, want het circuit was vrij glad.

Recardo Bruins viel uit in race 1. De Nederlandse Koreaan herstelde zich knap met een vierde plek in race 2. De eerste race werd gewonnen door JB Motorsport-coureur Frederic Vervisch, op dertien seconden gevolgd door teamgenoot Nico Verdonck.
