Jake Dennis is wereldkampioen Formule E en is daarmee de eerste Brit die dat voor elkaar bokst.

In een knotsgekke ePrix - de eerste van twee in de Engelse hoofdstad - werd Dennis tweede en dat was genoeg voor de titel, omdat directe concurrenten uitvielen of geen of te weinig punten scoorde. De Andretti-coureur volgt Stoffel Vandoorne op als kampioen.

Mitch Evans won de chaotische ePrix op het Indoor-outdoor-citcuit voor Dennis. Voormalig kampioen Sebastian Buemi werd derde.

De wedstrijd had meerdere neutralisaties, waaronder een aantal rode vlaggen. Hieronder een van de vele incidenten.

Jake Dennis

In 2018 was Dennis de simulator en ontwikkelingscoureur voor Red Bull Racing. Door de relatie met Aston Martin, testte hij voor Red Bull tijdens de tussentijdse tests van Barcelona in mei 2018 en vervolgens opnieuw op de Hungaroring in augustus. Op dit moment is Dennis nog steeds een ontwikkelingsrijder voor Red Bull.

In het verleden werd Dennis onder andere eerste in de Formule Renault en derde in de Formule 3. Het wereldkampioenschap in de Formule E is tot op heden zijn grootste presentatie in de autosport.

Deed me erg denken aan een gewone indoor kartrace... veel rode lampen... lompe acties... een opstopping of 2...

Cassidy deed alles wat die moest doen om vervolgens door zijn teamgenoot (die wingman zou zijn) besloot om hard te verdedigen waarbij de voorvleugel onder de auto schiet... Gezien Cassidy voor Jaguar rijdt volgend jaar... zou ik morgen niet een rijden zodat Envision de titel verliest van Jaguar... dit seizoen genoeg gedoe van zn team moeten doorstaan... tijd voor kleine payback.

Jake Dennis 10/15 op t podium... zo win je kampioenschappen. Andretti blij met een titel.
