Frederik Vesti verdedigt ook in 2018 eer van VAR

Frederik Vesti rijdt ook komend seizoen namens Van Amersfoort Racing in het Duits Formule 4-kampioenschap. De 16-jarige Deen maakte vorig jaar veel indruk door in slechts zijn vijfde race in de opstapklasse al te zegevieren. Hij scoorde in twaalf van de 21 races punten en sloot het seizoen af met een zevende plaats in het kampioenschap.

Voor 2018 is de titel zijn doel. Vesti: "Het was mijn wens om bij Van Amersfoort Racing te blijven. Het geld bij elkaar krijgen om deze droom te verwezenlijken was een ander verhaal. Gelukkig kan ik al jaren rekenen op de steun van een aantal Deense bedrijven. Het voelt geweldig om mijn avontuur bij Van Amersfoort Racing te vervolgen. De podiumklasseringen en met name mijn eerste overwinning smaken naar meer. Mijn doel voor dit jaar is om een gooi te doen naar de titel."

Van Amersfoort Racing-teammanager Jeroen de Jong: "We zijn heel blij om Frederik aan boord te houden. Hij toonde zich vorig jaar een snelle leerling, wat resulteerde in veelbelovende performances tijdens zijn debuutseizoen. Daarnaast is hij ook een fijn persoon om mee samen te werken. We geloven dat Frederik alles in zich heeft om een rol van betekenis te spelen in het kampioenschap."
