Nissany domineert eerste race Monza, Visser vergooit punten in slotfase

Lotus Charouz-coureur Roy Nissany heeft zijn derde zege van het Formule V8-seizoen binnen. De Israeliër startte de race van pole en kwam met een voorsprong van meer dan twaalf seconden over de finish. Louis Deletraz werd tweede, Matthieu Vaxiviere completeerde het podium. Beitske Visser reed lang op een zevende plaats in het kielzog van haar teamgenoot, maar vergooide de punten door in de Ascari-chicane van de baan te spinnen.

Nissany moest enkel bij de start even aan de bak toen hij de leiding verloor aan Pietro Fittipaldi. Nissany kon de leiding vrij eenvoudig terugpakken nadat Fittipaldi een remfout maakte. Matthieu Vaxiviere, die vanwege een crash in de kwalificatie als zevende startte, had een wereldstart en lag na de eerste doorkomst al op een tweede plaats.

De auto van Vaxiviere was door de crash echter niet helemaal in orde en daardoor wist Nissany meteen een flink gat te slaan. Deletraz wist aansluiting te vinden bij Vaxiviere en ging de Fransman in de vijfde ronde voorbij. In het vervolg van de race kreeg Vaxiviere het ook nog aan de stok met Aurelien Panis, maar de Fransman moest afhaken om de snelle Rene Binder van zich af te kunnen houden.

Het gevecht tussen Panis en Binder vormde het hoogtepunt van de tweede helft van de race. Binder pakte de vierde plek met nog zes ronden te gaan, maar Panis slaagde erin de positie in de eerste ronde terug te veroveren. Yu Kanamaru finishte als zesde, voor teamgenoot Visser leek een zevende plaats in het verschiet te liggen maar door de spin in Ascari finishte ze op twee ronden achterstand

Kampioenschapsleider Tom Dillmann kende een middag om snel te vergeten. De Fransman finishte de race als twaalfde en scoorde dus geen punten. Het was de eerste nulscore voor Dillmann dit seizoen. De Fransman gaat met 189 punten nog wel aan de leiding in het kampioenschap, voor Louis Deletraz met 167 punten.

De tweede race van het weekend wordt morgenmiddag verreden en wordt vooraf gegaan door een kwalificatie.

Even kijkend naar of de niet spetterende resultaten ergens mee te vergelijken zijn. Dan heb je vooral de teamgenoot. Beitske Visser heeft nu 27 punten, haar teamgenoot Yu Kanamaru heeft er 61. Ze zit misschien niet in een topteam maar het verschil is wel wat goot. Hoewel ik het niet heel erg volg heeft ze geen pech zoals een rits ploffende motoren.

Zonder heel duidelijke verklaring of plotselinge positieve stunts denk ik (helaas voor haar)niet dat ze een lange open wheel carrière gaat krijgen.

  Je moet races idd kijk, altijd intressant de FV8.
  We zien het toch te oppervlakkig vanaf hier.
  Monza ligt haar wel aardig zo te zien.
  
  Verbeter puntjes:
  Visser is in het begin vaak wat minder agressief.
  En de quali kan beter.

Was een mooie race door het hele veld heen.

Beitske had een goeie start van 12 naar 5, reed sterk en was bezig de teamgenoot bij te halen, auto brak uit na ascari in de 1 na laatste ronde.
