Nieuwe helm voor Jarno Opmeer

Jarno Opmeer, die samen met Richard Verschoor de Nederlandse eer hoog probeert te houden in de Formule Renault 2.0 Eurocup, beschikt dit weekend over een hagelnieuwe helm. Met het nieuwe ontwerp gaat het talent uit de Renault-opleiding op de Hungaroring op jacht naar punten. Opmeer staat na de eerste acht races van dit seizoen nog met lege handen. Zijn nieuwe helmdesign bestaat uit de kleuren van de Nederlandse vlag: rood, wit en blauw.

    Da's niet verkeerd!

    Mooi en vooral simpel design.

    Maar waarom toch altijd die 'go fast' streepjes? Moet dit echt of ben ik nu gewoon oud aan het worden? Da's nu iets waar zowat elke hedendaagse piloot aan lijdt. Echt om het heen en weer van te krijgen.

    Waar is de tijd van Hill, Boutsen (uiteraard), Senna, Prost, Hakkinen, noem maar op. DAT was pure klasse. Je wist meteen wie er in de wagen zat. De helmen van tegenwoordig zien er veel te ingewikkeld uit. Of het design wordt opgelegd door het team en hun sponsors (FI, RBR, TR) of het is een schreeuwlelijk ding op die enkele uitzonderingen na.

    Elke single seater piloot zou verplicht moeten worden om minstens een halve dag in een kamertje te worden opgesloten met niets anders dan de helm van Cevert en eens goed na te denken of dat eigen gatlelijk design wel zo'n een goed idee was.

      een simpel design is veel mooier (en helemaal mooi als het qua design nauwelijks veranderd (op wat logo,s na), daarom Vind ik Ericssons helm ook 1 van de mooiere, simpel en je weet wat de nationaliteit is :)

      Te ingewikkeld inderdaad. Overdesign. Zie je tegenwoordig overal. Als reactie zal er op een dag een minimalistische tegenstroom ontstaan. En dan zal blijken dat een eenvoudige egaal blauwe helm ineens enorm opvalt.

      voorlopig is dat in ieder geval nog niet te zien aan de resultaten, hij staat 20e in het kampioenschap met 11e als beste resultaat na 8 races
