Eindelijk weer punten voor Verschoor op Paul Ricard

Na een aantal minder goede weekenden is het Richard Verschoor gelukt een dubbele puntenfinish te behalen op het circuit van Paul Ricard in Zuid-Frankrijk. In de eerste race finishte Verschoor knap als vierde, in de tweede race was er een achtste plaats.

Verschoor en diens teamgenoten Jarno Opmeer en Neil Verhagen deden tijdens de zomerstop mee als gastrijders aan het Noord-Europees kampioenschap Formule Renault tijdens de Gamma Racing Days op het TT-circuit van Assen. Het uitstapje heeft de heren van MP Motorsport schijnbaar goed gedaan, aangezien het hele team van MP Motorsport goed mee kon komen op Paul Ricard.

Verschoor liet na de laatste races op de Red Bull Ring weten dat het dit jaar gewoon niet goed genoeg was en dat de details nog niet klopten. Meedoen om podiums of overwinningen lijkt er voorlopig nog niet in te zitten voor Verschoor en zijn teamgenoten, maar als er regelmatig punten gescoord kunnen worden, blijven de mannen in de kijker van de Formule 1-teams.

De mannen in de Eurocup Formule Renault 2.0 vervolgen het kampioenschap over vier weken op het circuit van Spa-Francorchamps.
