Verschoor op vierde startrij in België

Richard Verschoor vangt de eerste race van het Formule Renault 2.0 Eurocup-weekend op Spa-Francorchamps morgen vanaf de vierde startrij aan. De jonge Nederlander reed de vierde tijd in zijn kwalificatiegroep en zijn kwalificatiegroep bleek uiteindelijk de snellere van de twee.

Verschoor legde in zijn groep met een 2:18.262 beslag op de vierde plaats, goed voor een zevende startpositie. Sacha Fenestraz was met een 2:17.317 de snelste van de groep. Omdat Robert Shwartzman in de tweede groep niet verder kwam dan een 2:17.570 ging de pole position naar Fenestraz. Jarno Opmeer behoorde ook tot de tweede groep en sloot de sessie met een 2:18.339 af op de zesde plaats. Door een grid penalty voor Henrique Chaves neemt Opmeer de elfde startplek in voor race 1 op Spa.
