Verschoor en Opmeer starten races Spa-Francorchamps in middenveld

Richard Verschoor en Jarno Opmeer moeten hard aan de bak in de races in de Formule Renault Eurocup op het circuit van Spa-Francorchamps. De Nederlanders reisden vol zelfvertrouwen af naar het circuit in de Belgische Ardennen, maar zullen er vanuit het middenveld nog een hele kluif aan krijgen om punten te scoren.

Richard Verschoor heeft de beste kans op punten in de eerste race en derde race, de Nederlandse Red Bull-junior start die races als zevende. In de tweede race mag Verschoor als dertiende van start. Jarno Opmeer deed het iets minder goed: Opmeer start de eerste race als twaalfde en vangt de tweede race als zestiende aan.

De pole-positions voor de drie races gingen alledrie naar Sacha Fenetraz. De Fransman bleef rivaal Robert Schwartzmann in alle drie de kwalificatiesessies voor. De eerste race begint om 09:10 uur, de tweede race wordt vanmiddag om 15:00 uur verreden. De afsluitende race is morgen en start om 10:30 uur.
