Verschoor positief op weg naar slotweekend

De Formule Renault 2.0 Eurocup is aanbeland bij het laatste weekend van het seizoen. Het Circuit de Catalunya nabij Barcelona is gastheer voor het slotstuk. Richard Verschoor koestert hoge verwachtingen voor de laatste races. De jonge Nederlander denkt een middelmatig seizoen nog een mooie draai te kunnen geven.

Verschoor: "Ik denk dat ik hier in Barcelona sterk zal zijn. In de tests zag het er positief uit en ik kijk ernaar uit. We zijn nog op zoek naar meer snelheid, maar op Spa-Francorchamps waren we competitiever dan de resultaten lieten zien."

"We hebben nog steeds meer snelheid nodig. Het racen gaat oké, maar we moeten meer tempo hebben. Samen met het team ga ik aan alle aspecten werken om me gedurende het weekend te verbeteren, wat betreft het rijden en de auto. Er is niet één gebied waaraan we harder moeten werken dan aan een ander; we zoeken over de gehele linie naar verbeteringen."
